June 20- 22, 2017 Erfurt, Germany
NanoSteel's own Harald Lemke, Vice President, General Manager, Engineered Powders joins Europe's leading event for additive manufacturing and 3D printing at Rapid Tech + FabCon 3.D. The event is unique in its international appeal and the market leaders it attracts. Speakers present on the latest research results and technical developments of additive manufacturing in various forums throughout the conference.
Dr. Lemke's presentation 'A Novel Printable Stainless Tool Steel Platform' highlights the latest from NanoSteel's additive manufacturing portfolio. Visit us at Booth #109.
A novel, easy-to-print, high strength, hardness, and elongation, Co-free stainless tool steel alloy platform is introduced. The presentation includes powder properties, powder bed fusion printing conditions, as-built and heat treated mechanical, physical, thermal, and corrosion resistance properties, as well as some potential applications. Additionally, first results are shown outlining the underlying microstructural mechanisms of the alloys. It was demonstrated that the alloy platform is a viable alternative to, and an economic expansion of, the current stainless steel alloys that can be efficiently printed at room temperature and potentially also be metal injection molded.
