    Introducing the first products in the BLDRmetal family of additive manufacturing powders from NanoSteel.

    BLDRmetal J-10 and J-11 are used in binder jet 3D printing to create parts that are tougher and more wear resistant than 420 stainless steel; the most commonly used material in binder jet today.

    In this process, shown here at 3DX Industries, layers of BLDRmetal powder are joined with a binder to print a specific part shape.

    After jetting, parts are sintered in a furnace to remove the binder, and then infiltrated with bronze to fill in the spaces that remain.  The resulting parts feature exceptional wear and impact resistance.

    Now, industries such as oil & gas and tool & die can select from new higher performing materials, enabling the 3D printing of critical components.          

    These are just the first in a portfolio of BLDRMetal products designed to bring hard metals into additive manufacturing.
