Boiler tube failures are the most significant cause of unplanned outages and reduced availability at fossil fuel power generation plants. NanoSteel’s nano-structured steel alloys for thermal spray coating applications provide best-in-class wear and corrosion resistance in high temperatures to prevent tube failures, increase available operating hours and optimize planned outage cycles.

NanoSteel thermal spray coatings are proven in applications for resisting surface erosion on waterwall, economizer, reheater and superheater tube assemblies in pulverized coal-fired and biomass fluidized-bed boilers.

NanoSteel coatings also provide protection in other major areas of power generation plants such as reducing surface material loss from erosion and corrosion on dry and wet scrubber components.

NanoSteel alloys for thermal spray coating applications are available in conventional cored wire and atomized powder feedstock for easy use with standard equipment on-site or in the shop.
